JoAnn Hancock moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to the Uintah Basin in 1996. She began her career in real estate in 1995, in the fast paced market in Las Vegas, under the brokerage of Americana Group Better Homes and Garden. Having worked for other brokerages in the Uintah Basin, JoAnn had the dream and desire to open her own brokerage with the intention of giving real estate a New Face and a New Name in the community. JoAnn strongly believes in "change." Change has been the primary motivator behind many of JoAnn’s decisions. The change to Exit Realty Professionals has been incredible. Originally from the SF Bay Area, Denise was an aerospace contract negotiator and consultant before raising her family. Since arriving in Vernal in 1993, she has managed her husband’s solo medical practice for fifteen years, led a Type-A Girl Scout troop for five years, has chaired and sat committees for Vernal Chamber of Commerce, Uintah Arts Council and Uintah Mountain Club, and has spearheaded and organized a number of community fundraising events. She currently is director of the nonprofit local facility for care of injured birds-of-prey. Denise now brings her rich diversity of experience and organizational skills to Exit Realty Professionals. Graduating high school from Las Vegas, NV, and the many places I've seen during my 8 years in the Air Force, I moved to Vernal in 1997 and found it to be warm and friendly and the perfect place to raise a family. I married Dave Knibbe who has been a lifelong resident of the Uintah Basin. Combined, we have 3 children, 3 dogs and a cat. We live in Vernal City and the reason I feel Vernal, Utah is such a special place to live is because of all the outdoor activities that I can share with my family. Camping, fishing, boating and sledding are just some of the activities that we enjoy. There are endless things to do no matter what the season is.

In 2007, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I underwent many surgeries, but never let the disease affect my drive for life. I am a strong-willed person with a lot of life to live and live my life for all the joys and smiles I can give people. I am determined to not let things stand in the way of my goals. Between my military training and a life threatening disease, I am a person of motivation, determination and perseverance.
